This fast-paced high octane summer blockbuster delivers on all cylinders! With a star-studded cast and all the SFX and explosions you could ask for, this fifth installment of the franchise built around blistering speed, large explosions, beautiful women, and jaw dropping stunts brings one of, if not the best, sequels this series has seen!! The start of the film finds Brian O’Conner & Mia Toretto (Paul Walker & Jordana Brewster) pulling a job to break Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) out of Federal custody. From here, our group of felony-speeding-protagonists flees from country to country until they land in Rio de Janeiro. Now, backed into a corner with a new breed of law enforcement on their trail in the form of Federal Agent Luke Hobbs (Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson), it’s a race against the clock to confront and outwit Hernan Reyes (Joaquim de Almeida) a corrupt business man out to kill them and escape before Hobbs can catch them! The off the wall action in this movie easily makes it one of the 2 or 3 Action films currently in theaters worth seeing. So if you’re a fan of fast cars, gorgeous women in skimpy outfits, shootouts, over the top stunts, knock-down-drag-out fist fights and the occasional laugh, this movie’s for you!!! 5 out of 5

The God of Thunder has finally made it to the big screen! So let me start by saying I went into the theater with a pessimistic set of expectations for this film. After all, Hollywood has a very bad habit of mailing-it-in when it comes to comic book, video game, and anime live action adaptations. Well? This is not one of those times. The movie gets off to an action filled start and shows just what our hammer-wielding protagonist is capable of. Thor (Chris Hemsworth) accompanied by The Warriors Three and his brother Loki (Tom Hiddleston) depart from Asgard and set out for Jotunheim to get some answeres about a recent attack by the Frost Giants. After a spectacular action sequence, the group returns to Asgard only to find a displeased Odin (Anthony Hopkins) awaiting them. Odin strips Thor of his powers as an Asgardian and banishes him to Midgard. (Earth) This was the opening sequence of the nearly 2hr film. While there were points in the movie where I was waiting for something to happen…flat spots, I enjoyed the movie overall and have no major complaints. Natalie Portman is looking good as always in her role as Jane Foster. (Thor’s Love Interest) There were a lot more supporting characters from the comics than I had anticipated. Director Kenneth Branagh did a solid job of capturing the humor and feel most of the characters had in the comic books and delivered a good debut for Mjolnir-wielding-Thor on the big screen! 4 out of 5

One word: HILARIOUS! If you liked the first film you’ll love this second installment. Keep in mind there’s a vulgar/raunchy edge to the humor these films deliver….definitely not suitable for all audiences. Rated R for pervasive language, strong sexual content including graphic nudity, drug use, and brief violent images.

So “The Wolf Pack” is back to sort out yet another over-the-top night where the party just may have gotten a little out of hand. In this sequel to the highest grossing R Rated comedy film of all time, we find the gang preparing to depart for Thailand. This time dentist Stu (Ed Helms) is getting married. But in spite of Stu’s protests, Phil (Bradley Cooper) and co. are able to talk Stu into having just one unopened beer….unfortunately for Stu, things never seem to go as planned with Alan (Zack Galifianakis) around! Hungover, the crew wakes up in Bangkok with Stu’s future brother-in-law Teddy (Mason Lee) missing and the wedding in less than 24hrs!

As stated above, I thought this movie was hilarious. While it’s essentially still the same plot, the jokes are fresh and with one shocking moment after another there are really no flat or boring moments to speak of. This sequel may actually be better than the original. I laughed from start to finish….that may not say anything good about myself with how raunchy the film is, but if this is the type of humor you’re looking for, I definitely suggest checking it out at your local theater. 4.5 out of 5
